Who it's really for. Tech nonprofits: organizations whose core product is software, led by a founder, with a working MVP and at least a little traction. Fast Forward is explicit that it is not for traditional nonprofits adding a tech project, and increasingly the cohort skews toward AI-native products. Teams from anywhere in the world can apply, though programming runs on US time and includes in-person components.
What you get. A $25,000 unrestricted philanthropic grant, a three-month program, mentorship from tech and nonprofit leaders, a founder community that stays useful long after demo day, and introductions to funders. Alumni consistently describe the network and the fundraising follow-on as the real value.
How to apply and what to watch. Applications for the 2027 cohort closed on 7 September 2026, with the program running late February to early June 2027. The cycle is annual and opens in early summer, so the next window is roughly June to September 2027 for the 2028 cohort.
