Google.org Accelerator: Generative AI
Google.org
A six-month accelerator for nonprofits building generative-AI applications, offering technical training, mentorship, Google Cloud credits, pro-bono support, and a share of program funding. Cohorts run periodically through open calls.
Who it's really for. Nonprofits that are already building, or seriously prototyping, a generative-AI application for their beneficiaries or their own operations. This is a builder's program: Google.org wants a team with someone technical enough to use Cloud credits and engineering support, not an organization deciding whether to adopt AI. Cohorts have been global, with a visible emphasis on organizations serving underserved communities.
What you get. Six months of technical training and mentorship, Google Cloud credits, pro-bono support from Google employees through Google.org Fellows or similar arrangements, and a share of program funding. The combination of money, credits and people is what makes this one of the more valuable accelerators for a nonprofit that is past the idea stage.
How to apply and what to watch. Cohorts open through periodic public calls rather than on a fixed annual date, so this listing sits in "coming soon" between rounds. Watch the official page and the ImpactOpen digest for the next window. In the meantime, get verified for Google for Nonprofits so the Cloud credits can be activated quickly if you are selected. Nonprofits earlier in their AI journey should look at the NetHope and Agency Fund programs.
