Elements of AI
University of Helsinki and MinnaLearn
Still the best free explanation of what AI actually is, in more languages than anything else on this list.
Launched in 2018 by the University of Helsinki with Reaktor (now MinnaLearn), Elements of AI has reached over a million learners in 170 countries. Two parts: Introduction to AI (concepts, capabilities and limits, no code) and Building AI (basic Python recommended). Funded by the Finnish government for all EU languages, with localised editions run by partner universities. Older than the generative AI wave, so pair it with one of the applied courses above.
