UN Women AI School (Asia-Pacific)
UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific
The only UN-run AI cohort we know of built for advocates rather than technologists, with a gender lens baked in rather than bolted on.
Founded by Emad Karim at UN Women's Bangkok regional office, the AI School runs a shared core curriculum on AI foundations, responsible use and prompt craft, then adds weekly expert talks and hands-on innovation labs where participants build policy briefs, tools and datasets for their own communities. The first cohort ran June to August 2025 with 100+ participants from 25 countries. Toolkits and templates are published for replication. Eligibility is limited to nationals of countries covered by the Asia-Pacific regional office.
